Up to now, the Moodle sandbox was solely in the latest Moodle major version.Thanks to community feedback, the Community Sites team has been working to set up additional sandboxes for supported Moodle versions.
These alternative sandbox sites (for Moodle 3.11 and 4.0 at present) can be found as links on the Moodle 4.1 sandbox demo site.
You will notice that each sandbox is now also numbered with its Moodle major version. Note that the sandboxes are regularly upgraded and run on the most recent point version.
