One of our plugins might help you: with time management, you can set relative start and due dates for each activity. Please note that it is a paid plugin (but not expensive….)
You can for example configure that a specific activity should be started 7 days after the student has been enrolled into the course, and is supposed to be completed after 12 days.
Another activity might need to be completed after 2 weeks etc.
Sections don’t have a completion status or start/end date (even though we have implemented at least completion progress for sections in our designer format), so that’s probably not really an option.
Give me a shout if you want to know more about this, or just try it out on our demo platform labs.bdecent.de - just create a course or use one of the sandboxes and choose the time management tool from the floating action button menu in the bottom right.
In combination with our plugin pulse, you can send notifications to your students based on their progress.
