https://docs.moodle.org/39/en/Using_Assignment#Annotating_submissions  Win10 64bit

I have installed the latest version of Ghostscript to my D: drive, and enabled the plugin in settings, Annotate PDF.

I have added and tested Unoconv document  converter.

According to the instructions (above), I should get this menu bar above a downloaded file contents.

Annotating a student's submission

I then go to my course> assignment>student > grade> click on pdf file she uploaded>

And I get the file displayed but am unable to do anything but inspect it - no menu bar. What option have I not clicked?

I get the same result when using the School demo Teacher view of a PDF assignment which can be annotated inline.

I am trying Ghostscript because Adobe Reader seems to have developed a bug that does not let it be updated/opened. So I am stuck with a pile of scripts to be marked and returned yesterday.

Thank you

Check out the instructions on this page: https://moodleuserguides.org/guides/annotate-student-assignment-submissions/

It sounds like just need to click the "Grade" button for a student which takes you to the full grading screen, where you will see the annotate PDF pane. As long as the annotate PDF option is turned on for that particular assignment you should see it.

And yes if you're on the "View all submissions" screen/grid, clicking the file there will just download it or open it in your browser.

Good luck!

Hi Velson,

From the screenshot you provided it does look like the feature still needs to be enabled. See attached the screenshot of the settings and what the screen needs to look like. This was taken from the Moodle demo site and all is perfectly functional if done correctly.

Here is the link to the course you can test with: https://school.moodledemo.net/mod/assign/view.php?id=724&action=grader&userid=48
