Didn't see this topic addressed anywhere, so apologies if
it's been dealt with.
I'm trying to add links that refer to files on an SMB share,
something like smb://server/share/path/filename
doing what came naturally,
(leftbracket) title (vertical bar) smb://server/share/path/filename (rightbracket)
Didn't recognize the URL type.
I'm using ewiki now, but I presume this would be addressed by dfwiki as well.
Hm. Investigating this with Firefox on windows & linux, and the smb:// syntax didn't seem to be recognized , although it is with IE on Windows and appears to work on the Macintosh. Perhaps there's a standardized
way of accessing smb shares through a browser of which I'm not aware?

HI,
the dfwiki parser automatically creates a link for the web adresses (starting with http ) we did'nt consider the smb protocol as one to be parsed.
A solution to your porblem would be to use html editor pages and create there the links directly. With dfwiki you can choose wich markup languages (dfwiki ewiki htmleditor ) when you create the page.

Thanks. I'll probably work around it by making a local smb file mount.
Apparently web browsers differ in how they handle the smb:// protocol.

Linking to local files is widely considered to be a security hazard so the browsers are all dropping it. Pity.
