I am a user of Ubunto and I tried a lot of document management system like Alfresco, RavenDB,Owl, Document Manage etc. I think rather than Owl the document manage suits more in Ubunto.

Hi Sasha,

I suggest you try OpenKM. OpenKM is an open source document management system with many features such as: workflkow, task management, document version control, etc..

There is a free version and a professional version.

You can find more information here: http://www.openkm.com

Regards!

Hey all,

I am definitely a bit late for this conversation, but I am more interested in addressing the confusion between DMS and ECM that people are having!. We put together an article displaying the differences...however is this geared more towards the management of converted documents (rather than those who have always been electronic). - http://www.nedocs.com/blog/dms-vs-ecm

Additionally, what kind of privacy protection can/does OWL provide? Perhaps it is an ideal fit for something like Moodle...but what about an organization looking to pick up a strong DMS?

Thanks!
