I am a user of Ubunto and I tried a lot of document management system like Alfresco, RavenDB,Owl, Document Manage etc. I think rather than Owl the document manage suits more in Ubunto.

I suggest you try OpenKM. OpenKM is an open source document management system with many features such as: workflkow, task management, document version control, etc..
There is a free version and a professional version.

I am definitely a bit late for this conversation, but I am more interested in addressing the confusion between DMS and ECM that people are having!. Additionally, what kind of privacy protection can/does OWL provide? Perhaps it is an ideal fit for something like Moodle...but what about an organization looking to pick up a strong DMS?
