Hide additional files uploaded date (assignment act.)

Hi there,

I wonder if there is a way to hide the uploaded date of additional files in the assignment activity without using CSS. I am referring to this example:

It's possible to hide last modified date of pages but cannot find how to do it in additional files, if possible at all.

It's not a major issue, but some students are confused.

Hola Javier.

The only thing you can do, is the following bit:
Under 'Disponibilidad' there's a checkbox labeled 'Mostrar siempre la descripción' which is checked by default, so your students can always see the description, even if they're outside the submission window (open - due - cut off).

If you uncheck that box, both the description and additional files are completely hidden.

The other thing you may consider: add a clear description of the task and the importance of the additional file for the task, so they don't get distracted or confused about the date the file was added.

Hola Joost,

Gracias por la ayuda. The students have one month to complete this assignment, so 'Always shows description' doesn't solve the issue. Anyways, thanks for the suggestion though!

Regarding adding a clear description, we are doing it, but they still ask for that date. It's a course with 400 participants, to be fair just a few of them asked about it saying 'why there is this date? as it's in the past, cannot I submit it anymore?'.

We are afraid that some students are not submitting the activity because they think the deadline has passed, even though they can see below that they still have a few more days to submit.

I have added a Moodle Tracker and hopefully it's a minor thing to add.
