Why does the role "Course creator" doesn't appear in the list of roles? Where did I miss to set the tick?

Where are you looking? If you are in a course then you don't need the role of course creator - just give them the role of teacher. If you want a site wide course creator then go to Site administration > Users > Assign system roles (but personally I dont use this role.)

The „long“ Version of the role „Teacher“ is „teacher that can edit he course”.
The other role for a teacher that can use but not change the content of a course is “nonediting teacher”.
The role “coursecreator” is “only” to create an empty course.
