Schedling a group meeting a-la Doodle

I'm moderating an informal international study group. "Informal" in the sense that it is not under the auspices of any institution; it's just a bunch of people from all over the world, who wish to study a certain academic textbook together.

For that reason the dynamics between the members of the group is democratic, and among other things the date of commencement of the "course" as well as other important dates, such as the dates of our weekly get-togethers, are decided in a democratic way through Doodle, a free online meeting scheduling tool. Doodle not only allows us to schedule meetings in a democratic way, but it also ensures that each member of our international group sees the calendar in their local timezone.

Is there a way to integrate Doodle with Moodle? If not, is there a Moodle plugin or some other Moodle way to schedule a group meeting in a democratic way between people from all over the world?

Thanks. Neither of these is a realistic alternative to Doodle. A realistic alternative must be inherently calendar-oriented, and must be automatically sensitive to the time zones of the different users.

Although Doodle does advertise some integrations, I can't find any sign of an open developer API. This makes me think it's quite unlikely such a thing exists or will.

I'd never heard of Doodle so I don't know exactly what it does. There may be other alternatives where integration is a possibility but would still probably require some developer effort. What you really want is an application that supports LTI.

However, as noted above, I think you probably want Scheduler. If you want to use Moodle you need to get on board with the way Moodle does things. Obviously, this isn't always the way your favourite application does things.
