Can anyone explain why there are different way the iOS and the android app version handles notification badges, as described here?

https://docs.moodle.org/311/en/Moodle_app_notifications#App_notification_badges

I have created an improvement issue in the tracker, https://tracker.moodle.org/browse/MOBILE-3987

The discrepancies between the notification centre (iOS) and the notification drawer (Android), as well as the corresponding procedures on the two platforms, are to blame. On Android, notifications are considerably more apparent. They come on the lock screen frequently, and sticky icons appear on the home screen.

Hi Niya!

Still, all my other iOS apps fetches notification bricks/badges in the background. I have this problem only with the Moodle app. How come that?

I mean the "bubble" (brick? badge?) on the icon. This image is when the Moodle app is started and running in the background, then it fetches the information. The banner push notifications works as expected.
