Two or more option for cloze type questions

Hi, I hope you could help me.

I am creating a test with questions using:

a. Hoy {1:SHORTANSWER:=digo} (decir, yo) la verdad. The only answer is digo.

It works fine. However, I need to create questions with answers with 2 or more possibilities.

Example:

a. Hoy {1:SHORTANSWER:=digo} (decir, yo) la verdad. I need to give more options, like digo, diré, diría.

How do I do that? I tried using commas, slashes, etc. but to no avail

I hope you could help me

thanks

Try: Hoy {1:SHORTANSWER:=digo~=diré~=diría} (decir, yo) la verdad.

Hi, Matthias. I tried it and it works for the first two possible answers, but not for diré. I tried to add a ~= at the end, and ~ or =, but nothing works. Any idea?

Thanks in advance.

This should definitely work therefore something else is going on.

Did you write the question directly in Moodle? Or did you copy it from maybe Word?

If you used the Word options, there are two possible sources for the problem:

  1. Word uses different letters for instance for í.
  2. When copying some additional HTML tags were inserted.
You can find out by checking the HTML code:

In case you directly typed in the question, try out this one first:

{1:SHORTANSWER:=1~=2~=3}

In case it accepts 1, 2 or 3 you at least know that the question type works properly on your system.

BTW, you can also write SA instead of SHORTANSWER.
