That's a great insight and I moved mapping to after_execute(). However, I've learned what should be where in the XML files for annotations (inforef.xml, one of those "how did I not see that?" moments), and the cmids aren't there.
Here is the backup class as it is now. I know it's right in front of my nose, but I'm just not seeing it.
