Using Moodle 3.9.9 with Boost theme and I'm asking specifically about this:

Version 3.9.1.5 - 02/07/2021
Added 'Toggle blocks location' functionality, thanks to John Joubert (https://github.com/John-Joubert) for the patch - #100.

Feeling dumb (again), but I cannot for the life of me figure out what the "Toggle blocks location" functionality is all about, mentioned in the Version 3.9.1.5 version information, since I can see no changes after playing with the new settings.

I checked out the github information: https://github.com/gjb2048/moodle-format_topcoll/pull/100 to try to understand and I've also checked any documentation that I could find, but I haven't found anything. 

Maybe someone can post a picture of what I'm supposed to see? I hear it's worth a thousand words. 微笑

Its the default blocks that will apply when a course is created. Fair point on the lack of documentation.

This one puzzled me, too, Gareth.

The key is that these are the blocks that will appear when "Collapsed Topics" is selected as the "Course Format" when creating a new course, and not when simply switching from a different Course Format (e.g., Topics) to Collapsed Topics.
