OK... so...
I solved it.
The correct format was
ldap://255.255.255.255
I also ran into the Connection: 'Resource id #', Bind result: issue... and IDK if a resave in the moodle, or the fact, that I gave read permission on the OU (in wich my users will be placed) for this user solved the issue.
(I suspect both)
