I don't know if Mediabird Study Notes ↗ can still be installed. It would seem that this plugin is obsolete. The Moodle plugin My notes ↗ can be installed, but it's pretty basic. Chrome extensions such as Beanote ↗ are fine, but the notes are only available on the computer they were taken on. The Chrome extension NotesAlong ↗ allows you to find your notes on any computer since they are saved in the cloud. This extension is not bad.

Another Chrome extension (yes, I like Chrome), Remarq ↗, also allows you to find your notes on any computer. The interface is quite slick. Surprisingly, it automatically retrieves the Moodle course title and the section title. You can insert pictures and equations in the notes. Other than a small glitch in the note editor, the extension seems great. I will surely give it a try and ask my students to use it. This is what it looks like:
