Using Moodle as a platform for issuing virtual diplomas

I currently use a local platform based on blockchain (similar to https://www.bcdiploma.com/es/howItWorks)

for issuing diplomas for the trainings we do virtually.

However we are having several problems and now I am looking for alternatives and after doing some in Moodle documentation we found the following references to Open Badges https://docs.moodle.org/311/en/Managing_badgesand badgr.io https://docs.moodle.org/311/en/Backpacks

so I was wondering if Moodle could be used for this purpose.

Hi Alejandro - It's probably overkill to set up a Moodle site just to issue badges, but sure, you can do it if you'd like smile

I see your point.
Having to create a user in Moodle just for issuing a certificate could be excessive work.
So I was wondering if there is a way of doing so without having to create a user in Moodle
