We are approaching the code freeze for Moodle 4.0, which will commence on October 4th as mentioned previously.
After this time no new code will be accepted into integration until the release is out, which is scheduled for December 13th.
As you know, we are making some significant improvements to Moodle's user experience, with a focus on UX and in particular navigation and the course experience. We will be working hard through October to finalise and integrate these UX changes.
Code freeze will allow us to focus on this, and will then be followed by QA testing (scheduled to commence November 1st) and fixing issues found. Find out more on our releases page.
If you are interested in participating in our QA cycle, please reach out. As always we could really use your help with testing!
For theme & plugin developers; once the final issues have been integrated you are encouraged to check for compatibility. In the meantime, have a look at the Moodle 4.0 developer update page for more information!
