We installed our Moodle 3.9 in an Ubuntu 20.04 server with PHP 7.4 as per https://docs.moodle.org/39/en/Step-by-step_Installation_Guide_for_Ubuntu.
We then set up simple search:
- checked the box of "Enable global search"
- selected "Simple search" as the search engine
- run the cron /usr/bin/php /var/www/html/moodle/admin/cli/cron.php every minute
When we search for "testcustomfield", "Anothertest" and "moretest" one by one, only "testcustomfield" or "Anothertest" returns results, but there is no search result for "moretest". That is strange!
After we deleted first two course custom fields which are "custom_name" and "custom_name1", we can still get search results for their values that are "testcustomfield" and "Anothertest". That is strange!
Something wrong with indexing? The cron /usr/bin/php /var/www/html/moodle/admin/cli/cron.php is run every minute anyway.
