Hi Andrea,

Greetings from Spain!

Short answer: Yes.

Moodle has online payment integration built in & there are also additional 3rd party payment integration plugins: https://moodle.org/plugins/?q=payment

For self-study language learning activities, I recommend exploring the Quiz module: https://docs.moodle.org/311/en/Quiz_activity & H5P module: https://docs.moodle.org/311/en/H5P_activity I use both because each has its advantages & disadvantages according to what I want to achieve.

For additional, asynchronous communicative activities between students &/or teacher & students, the forum module is very useful & flexible: https://docs.moodle.org/311/en/Forum_activity It works particularly well for anytime, anywhere, spontaneous communicative activities when students use the free Moodle mobile app: https://docs.moodle.org/311/en/Moodle_app It's a bit like having Facebook discussions on your phone but without all that bad stuff that using Facebook entails.

In my opinion, 6 is a reasonable size for online synchronous video conferencing (Moodle has a wide range of integrations for video conferencing services: https://moodle.org/plugins/?q=conferencing & now has the BigBlueButton plugin included as standard) but for asynchronous communicative activities, I recommend larger cohorts within each course, e.g. ~30, so that there are more potential respondents to discussions at any one time & so discussions feel more responsive & therefore motivating to the students (forum discussions are a good strategy for increasing student engagement & reducing drop-out rates). It's also often the case that it's difficult to schedule lesson times to suit everyone all the time in small groups & so having larger cohorts gives greater flexibility for accommodating everyone's schedules, i.e. there's always a choice of times.

I hope this helps!

Matt
