We can set the default file type restriction as a moodle Admin, but a Teacher can delete that value when creating an Assignment, enabling Student submission of any file type.
Is it possible to restrict Teacher access to the default file type setting for Assignments?
We want to prevent Teachers from encouraging Students to upload videos for Assignments as course size gets out of control quickly. We prefer Students submit links to videos on their own cloud storage locations, like MS Stream which is supported on our campus.
I have tried deleting the mp4 filetype for instance (/admin/tool/filetypes/index.php), but leaving the Assignment file type setting blank will circumvent this restriction.
