August 2021 Upgrade - Affected grading of essay questions - Appears to be an error

Hi Everyone,

Has anyone else noticed what seems to be an error with the grading of essay questions in MoodleCloud since the upgrade?

Prior to upgrade
  • Teacher selects make a comment or override mark link
  • Types comment (automatically uses paragraph font)
  • Types in grade
  • Hits enter - this automatically saves the entry

Post upgrade
  • Teacher selects make a comment or override mark link
  • Types comment (automatically  uses Large title font)
  • Types in grade
  • Hits enter - this automatically opens the font selector in the comments section, you have to select a fond and this then takes you back to the comments field (the ATTO editor)
  • Teacher has to scroll down and select save to complete grading that essay question answer
Are there any moves at Moodle to address this issue?

This does not just affect grading in the quiz, nor just Moodle Cloud. The same issue happens here in these forums.

I have reported this bug as MDL-72346.

(Presumably these weird symptoms are an unintended side-effect of someone trying to improve accessibility.)

Hopefully, it will be fixed quickly.

I followed the links to the bug report - yours and MDL-72286. Hopefully it won't take too long for it to be corrected - with the 'minor' priority set.
