Hello

Is there any help for correctly installing and deploying the sodium php extension which is needed to install Moodle 3.11 using Ubunt16.04?

I've googled it but can find any straightforward clear guide to installation. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

Don't gurgle. Ask in an Ubuntu forum!

From a Debian user, since Ubuntu 16.04 came with PHP 5.5 (?) and Moodle 3.11 needs PHP 7.3 and higher, you must have added other repositories to your package manager. Search those repos 'apt search' for all "sodium".

FYI: Moodle rel. 3.9 (LTS) is supported longer that 3.11. See https://docs.moodle.org/dev/Releases.
