Importing framework - file format invalid

Importing framework - file format invalid

When I export my competency framework, then import the data in Excel, and then again save it as a .csv file (seperated by comma's), I get the 'File format is invalid.' message.

Importing the exported .csv-file succeeds, but when I import the data it fails. MS Excel seems to change the format. How can I prevent this?

I take what Excel exports as a fake csv, open it in a real editor that handles only text (like an programming editor), then save it again. Always solves the formatting issues.

Thank you! It was not a fake csv so much, but some system settings transposed the requested comma delimiter to a semicolon delimiter. Got it fixed!

Glad you found it. This can crop up with csv files when crossing borders from semi-colon nations to comma nations ;)
