I've been chatting with academics at my institution about their pain points when using Moodle. Where I am, we copy course content into new courses from an existing course Master. This allows us to quickly populate content for multiple courses very quickly. One hiccup though is the need to reconfigure due dates for assessments, as different locations have different requirements. There are methods to calculate and apply automatically, but this doesn't always work, so I was thinking of making use of overview pages. (eg. when you click the activity type menu, for example the assignment overview page. /mod/assign/index.php)
From the overview page, I had thoughts that dates could be edited directly on the page, rather than clicking in and out of each activity. Similar to turning editing on on the gradebook. Edit on, change relevant dates, Save.
Alternatively, a gear icon for each activity, launching a pop-up to quickly access items that are usually altered, or maybe just the entire module configuration page?
