Copying participants, grades, and activity completion from one Moodle instance to another

We just updated all of our courses to the newest Moodle version. The content of the course copied perfectly. We now need to add all the participants from the previous course including their grades and activity completion to the newest version. We have tried several import/export options. However, the results vary. Sometimes the grades copy but not the activity completion information. Other times the grades copy and the activity completion for only the quizzes but not the other activities.  Any thoughts?

Hi Ragan - From your message it's not clear if you're talking about one Moodle site or two. Are you trying to import from an existing course into a new course on a single Moodle site? Or are you trying to backup an existing course on one Moodle site and restore the MBZ backup file into a new Moodle site?
