Hi all, I am sumanth a new moodler.
I am not clear about the functionality of description type and essay type questions in Quiz module. Can anyone help me with examples.

Sumanth, the description question type is not actually a question type but simply allows you to put some text or other content in between questions. The essay question type provides the student with a textarea where they can type a longer answer which the teacher then later grades by hand. The essay question type is not a standard question type in Moodle 1.5 so not so many people are using it yet. But it will be standard in Moodle 1.6.

Is there any word of when Moodle 1.6 will be available? I need the essay question type ASAP and would like to avoid modifying 1.5. Of course I can also can't find the modifications in the CVS I saw week ago!! If you can point me there too that would be great!
