I've been struggling with this for days now, so it's time to reach out.
I have a course with many many grade sub categories. I had this idea to build a Summary category at the very top with a zero weight, just so that the category totals could be shown together in one place. These details don't really matter, though.
Basically, I've created a manual grade item inside a ZERO weight category that is supposed to show me the value of another category total. Unfortunately, it doesn't I cannot figure out why. The attached image is a simplification of what I've been working on, but show's how the numbers just don't work.
- The 'Category A' total has been assigned the ID 'CA'
- The 'Total A' manual item has a formula of =CA, yet it's showing something completely different.
Just what the heck am I missing? Am I misunderstanding how this should work?
