Topic's progress considering the total number of acitivities in a topic and not only the accessible at current time

Hi everyone,

is there a way how to show topic's progress (in Moove theme it is precentage, in Boost theme it is "progress x of n activities") that is calculted from the total number of activities that are in the topic?

The topic's progress in contrast to the total course progress is calculated from only accessible activities in the current time. Our course design is very straighforward: next actitivity is opened to student when the previous activity was completed. (restriction by previous activity completion)

In such scenario the topic's progress is calculted based on currently accesible activities in the topic. It means that after finishing the first acitivity, the topic's progress is 50% (1 of 2), for the second actitivity it is 66% (2 of 3), 3rd - 75% (3 of 4), 4th - 80% (4 of 5), 5th - 83% (5 of 6), .... That makes no sense for us. We would like something like 1 / n, 2 / n, 3 / n, 4 / n, ... where n is the total number of activities in the topic. Am I missing something or it is really not possible? The total course progress is calculated in this way. Why not the topic's progress?

Using Moodle 3.10.1, 3.11. For now we solve it with use of javascript that preplace the progress with the right value, but it is very annoying solution. Is the more elegant systematic solution?

Thanks
