Book TOC links broken

I am using the MoodleCloud. com version of Moodle.

I created a book, and added TOC pages using the "+".  The first page appears for all TOC entries.  The links for pages other than the first page do not work.   If I select the gear edit icon, the pages appear, and the "previous page" field is correct on the page.


How do I associate new links with the TOC entries so that the pages are not lost?

SOLUTION FOUND

If the amount of text and embedded images in the book's " description" is VERY large, then the links don't work. After I edited the book's description, so that only a few sentences were left, then the links worked.

Thanks for posting your solution.

As you've found, the description field is only intended to contain a small amount of text, as it is displayed on every page (chapter) of the book.
