Can you add an activity at a Category Level?

Can you add an activity at a Category Level?

Moodle 3.9
Hello, I am trying to reduce the number of clicks to a resource.

I have a Top Level Category 'Helpdesk' on the main menu (one click) I have to then create a course 'Helpdesk' (Second click) I then add an activity to the course 'Click here for Helpdesk' (third click) Then they can use the helpdesk feature (I am using the excellent Dialogue plug in)

So my question is

Can I put an activity under a top level category and bypass the 'course? Or make the Top level category a link to the activity within a course?

I have added 'Helpdesk' to the top navigation bar but it is a bit subtle and easily overlooked.

I suppose I could add an HTML 'Block' containing the direct link to all pages.

I would appreciate any ideas.
With thanks

Marie

No. You can only add activities in courses, however, the front page is a course, so if you have a 'frontpage topic' then you can add activities to that.
