I think that if you want to access your execution server with "http://vplserver:80" you must not set the URLPATH parameter.

URLPATH
This parameter acts as a password to access the execution server (jail server). If the PATH of the URL request no matches URLPATH, the request is rejected. The default value is “/”. Example:
If you set
URLPATH=secret
You must use "https://servername:SECURE_PORT/secret" as the URL to your execution server in the VPL Moodle plugin.
