I am using Moodle 3.5, and have postfix running in my centos server.
[root@AICB-Moodle2001 log]# telnet localhost 25
Connected to localhost.
Escape character is '^]'.
220 AICB-Moodle2001.localdomain ESMTP Postfix
I also have smtp setup on the Moodle settings:
I see my maillog showing these errors:
Jun 11 08:54:54 xxx-Moodle2001 postfix/smtp: BD0C560F8F7A: to=<xxxelearningxx.org.my>, relay=none, delay=238211, delays=238211/0.08/0.02/0, dsn=4.4.1, status=deferred (connect to xxelearningxx.org.my[xxx]:25: Connection refused)
Jun 11 08:54:54 xxxx-Moodle2001 postfix/smtp: CE61D60F8F83: to=<firstname.lastname@example.org>, relay=none, delay=238211, delays=238211/0.07/0.01/0, dsn=4.4.1, status=deferred (connect to xxxelearningxx.org.my[xxx]:25: Connection refused)
However, some of the email sending attempts have been success:
Jun 10 19:11:41 xxx-Moodle2001 postfix/smtp: EAFAB60445C9: to=<email@example.com>, relay=mail.xxx.com[xxx]:25, delay=1, delays=0.09/0.04/0.46/0.44, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (250 Queued (0.047 seconds))
1) How to resolve the errors in the logs? Should i turn off my postfix from running altogether?
2) My SMTP setup sending email notifications work, but the logs dont appear in this postfix logs. Where are those logs?
3) Where else do i setup the noreply email in the moodle settings, other than the outgoing email config?
Thanks, really appreciate any help.
