Yes I was using default settings with both db:s, that's what I usually do. I have worked with quite small db:s and never seen significant impact with performance tweaks on db:s so I usually make only security related changes and changes what applications demand or suggest.
I was curious and made same tests with google cloud vm. Results were not so dramatic but the gap was 15%.
On azure I use ubuntu 20.04 and on google cloud centos 8.
