Having recently upgraded to Moodle 3.9 and changed theme to Adaptable (currently using version 3.9.1.1), I ran accessibility tests using  the Web2Access Audit Tool. This came up with a few errors:

  1. site logo - no alternate text for images (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.1.1 - Non text content)
  2. front page slider - no alternate text for images (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.1.1 - Non text content)
  3. language menu - accessible name not containing the visible label text (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.5.3 Label in name)
  4. navigation bar - accessible name not containing the visible label text (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.5.3 Label in name)
  5. navigation bar - Parsing - duplicate id attribute value in the navigation bar (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 4.1.1 Parsing)
  6. search courses button - Anchor element found with a valid href attribute, but no link content has been supplied (WCAG 2.1 success criterion 4.1.2 - Name role value)
