We have installed the Tiles Format plugin in our Moodle system (vs 3.9) and want to be sure the format is accessible to all students. Does anyone know if the Tiles format is screen reader-friendly?
Thx.
Hi Laurie
I know you have not received an answer as yet, but have you carried out screen reader testing with the Tiles Format? We would also like to know if the Tiles Format is fully compatible with screen readers with using 3.10 version of Moodle.

Hi Ali.
I don't have access to full screen reader software, such as JAWS, for testing. I did test the Tiles format with Chrome screen reader extensions and had trouble reading the format correctly. My Internet searches have not been helpful. However, I have seen articles indicating that Moodle's "Grid" format is not screen reader friendly. The Grid format is similar to Tiles. For now, we are telling faculty needing their course to be screen reader accessible to use one of the accessible standard course formats - Topics or Weekly.
