Hi,
I have a couple of students in a course that are labeled as "not active".
I don't understand why and how to change their status (please see attached pic).
Hi Gabri, click on the gear icon to find out about the users enrollment. You will be able to update there if needed.
Thanks, I did already tried. The user enrolment page says already "Active". But once I am back to the list, it's still "not active".
Can you provide a screenshot of what you see when you click on the Gear icon?
Thanks for reply. This is what I see on enrolled user's options.
Please note that in the drop down options I can choose between "active" and "suspended", there's no "not active" options.
Also, maybe relevant, almost all enrolled users have self-enrolled. The "not active" ones are last-minute requests. They have been manually enrolled after enrolling time expired.

Hi Gabri - Have you checked whether 'Manual enrolments' is enabled in the Enrolment methods? It shouldn't be disabled or greyed out. (Once I had a course with lots of students who had self-enroled and a teacher disabled self-enrolment at some point, which led to all those students becoming inactive.)
That's a good call, Ravi. If you disable Manual enrolments (Participants > cogwheel > Enrolment methods, by clicking the 'eye' icon), all manually enrolled participants will display a 'not active' label in the list.
That's solves it, thank you.
It seems that a colleague (I manage more "tschnical" stuff, she actually manages courses) disabled manual enrolment and forgot it ^^;
Thank you very much!
