I have seen the posts further down the page but there doesn't seem to be an answer as to why the contact form block doesn't install.
I have unzipped it into my blocks folder but it doesn't appear in the Configuration >> Blocks page with the other installed blocks.
Any ideas would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

Please note that, rather than unzipping block_contact_form_1.5 into your blocks folder, you should unzip it elsewhere, then copy the contact_form folder plus contents into your blocks folder.

Same result I'm afraid.
I'm using CPanel & there's never usually a problem with automatically unzipping into a folder, it creates a folder at the same time.
Maybe I'm using a different version of contact_form - do you know where I can get the 1.5 you refer too? Seems I might have it - V.5

The block_contact_form_1.5 may be downloaded by following this link: http://download.moodle.org/download.php/modules/block_contact_form_1.5.zip.
Please note that a possible reason why the contact block doesn't appear in Administration >> Configuration >> Blocks is that an extra folder has been created when unzipping.
