Hi,

I'd like to know how best to translate these strings - more precisely what should be translated in these four interconnected options, where there a classed span element that takes some words:

submissiontypetextavailable
Online text<span class="accesshide"> available</span>

Should I also translate the word " available"  ? Or is this connected to the code used ?  Is the position of the space - in this case - before the word "available" important?

submissiontypetextrequired
<span class="accesshide">Online text </span>Required

Should i translate both "Online text " and "Required" ?

submissiontypefileavailable
File attachment<span class="accesshide"> available</span>

Should I translate both "Fiile attachment" and " available"?

submissiontypefilerequired
<span class="accesshide">File attachment </span>Required

Should I translate both "Fiile attachment " and "Required"

?

OK, found the answer to my question via inspection of other language packs:

Using the example of this string submissiontypetextavailable :

For German the translation is

Online-Texteingabe<span class="accesshide"> verfügbar</span> verfügbar

For French:

Texte en ligne <span class="accesshide">disponible</span> disponible
(the space is there but has been moved to immediately before the span element)

For Spanish:

Texto en línea<span class="accesshide"> disponible</span>e

ERGO: both the wording outside and under the span element need translating (and the space is best kept where it is in the standard English string) .
