I would like to implement as many as possible of the security recommendations from this post: https://docs.moodle.org/310/en/Security_recommendations. I know how to modify security permissions in cPanel, but that will take a lot of clicking. I know it can be done via command line, but I'm more of a DOS/Windows person than a Linux one. I hope that someone might let me know the commands if I give the setup, but I don't know how much of the setup information you actually need to know so, if this is not enough, please let me know.
The Moodle is on a GoDaddy VPN, Linux server, the moodledata is in the root folder, and the moodle folder is in a subfolder called rootname/public_html/learning. I know enough to get into those folders using the command line (been around since DOS), I just do not know what command to type once in there to change the permissions for the folders to 700 and the files to 600.
