Several hundred picture links that have worked perfectly up until now and have suddenly stopped. The pictures are on another website where I stored them accessing them through <img scr> html in the question code.
the orginal HTML :
<b>What is the item?</b><br>
The result is below. There are two broken links. I have the original link as indicated above and a second one that starts with https instead of http.
And as a little experimentation, I have the lightbulb link which is actually shows coming from <img src="https://www.w3schools.com/images/lamp.jpg"> which works just fine for some reason using the exact same code accessing code on a different website.
If you copy the link into a new tab in the browser the picture shows up so the link is fine:
And, to add to the puzzle, if I paste the link into a new tab to see if it works in the browser, it will end up showing up in the question.
One colleague thinks that the problem results from an update in the browsers (Edge, Chrome), noting that they won't show both secure and insecure content at the same time.
I thought that maybe the problem was a refresh issue but F5 doesn't help. I didn't get into browser settings forcing the browser to refresh each time it is loaded. It seems a bit much to ask each student to play with these sorts of settings.
If it is a browser problem, it is a serious issue for a lot of content that I have available to students right now.
If there is some other simple solution...
Any help out there would be greatly appreciated.
