Hello.
I am a big fan of using wikis as sources of information for students. I create a collaborative wiki and in permissions, deny the students the right to edit and make new pages. They can still comment on pages etc.
But when logged into my student account, the wiki show [edit] buttons with each section of the page, as determined by heading styles. When the student clicks on these [edit] buttons, they get an error message.
These buttons also appear in the pages' TOCs.
But wouldn't it be better not to have these [edit] buttons in the first place, in this context?
Thanks,
James
