I am using Moodle version 3.10. I have recently tested the LDAP authentication and it is working as expected.
Now I am in the process of exploring LDAP enrollment of courses (for LDAP users).
In our working environment, AD team wants to maintain standard for our security groups (like APP_COUNTRY_NAMEOFCOURSE. As per understanding from LDAP enrollment documentations, the course name should be the LDAP group name with course ID number. If so, how can I achieve this so that moodle detects the course for enrollment of ldap users.
For instance,
Scenario1 (without course ID number in course name):
Moodle: Course name: HAPROXY LDAP group name: APP_SG_HAPROXY
will this work or
Scenario2 (with course ID number in course name):
Moodle: Course name: HAPROXY101 LDAP group name: APP_SG_HAPROXY101
will this work ?
Kindly advise which of above options is workable or let me know any other best approach.
