I have Moodle generate a password for new users that they must change the first time they login. Is it possible to prevent Moodle from using certain characters? I want Moodle to still use non-alphanumeric characters, but I don't want Moodle to use the period (.). Twice, now, I've had students email me saying their password won't work, and both times there was a period at the end of the password that they had missed. I would like to eliminate this problem.
