Despite several attempts have already been made, it still shows "0" attempted. Therefore its not counting none of the attempts that we know.
The theme is Adaptable.

From the second screen-grab, clearly you have Teacher role.
Teachers cannot attempt quizzes (only preview them).
(Unless I have completely misunderstood the question. I don't know anything about adaptable theme or what it is trying to do.)
