I am trying to add some new files to an existing (some years old) course.
Drag and drop from my PC folder into the Content box doesn't work.
I then went into Edit settings> editing
box for page content> Manage files > folder> File picker and tried to
upload a pdf file. This appeared in the folder with the
other pdfs. I then clicked the close X button. The file did not appear in the
Content box. I pressed Save and display, and an error came up “Leave page >–
data you have entered may not be saved”. If I stay on the page, Save and
Display is greyed out. If I go back to Manage files the file appears in the folder list, but there is a message:
"Unused files¦The following embedded files are not used in the text
area¦folder/<>.pdf" with an option to delete it. Not what I want to do.
There does not seem to be any guidance in the Documentation site, at least by searching.
Any idea what is happening and how it can be made to manage as advertised?
