I know this has been asked before but why in the world is there an email notification option for self-enrolment but not other types? It seems entirely redundant; if I self-enrol then why would I need to an email telling me I'm enrolled.
On the other hand if I'm a teacher/manager of a course why do I need to send emails to everyone in a cohort telling them they've just been enrolled in a course?
Perhaps I'm missing something or am a bit thick in the head but it would seem that the option to send email notifications upon enrolment of any kind should be a basic function. Especially when the code to do it is apparently rather trivial. See: Moodle - Sending notifications to Students - Stack Overflow.
I know there is a plugin that does this but it appears to be no longer supported. This would be a great UX addition to 4.0.
