To anyone who is so kind as to help me out as I am unable to solve the issue I have.
<?php // Moodle configuration file
$CFG = new stdClass();
$CFG->dbtype = 'mariadb';
$CFG->dblibrary = 'native';
$CFG->dbhost = 'localhost';
$CFG->dbname = 'u389390412_migration2';
$CFG->dbuser = 'u389390412_migration2';
$CFG->dbpass = ':4*Fc~i9M';
$CFG->prefix = 'mdl_';
$CFG->dboptions = array (
'dbpersist' => 0,
'dbport' => 3306,
'dbsocket' => '',
'dbcollation' => 'utf8mb4_unicode_ci',
$CFG->wwwroot = 'https://xxxxx/elevation';
$CFG->dataroot = '/home/u389390412/domains/xxxxxx/moodledata1';
$CFG->admin = 'admin';
$CFG->preventexecpath = false;
$CFG->pathtounoconv = '';
$CFG->directorypermissions = 0777;
require_once(__DIR__ . '/lib/setup.php');
When students submitted their assignments as a .pfd file, it used to work perfectly fine. I still had Moodle 3.9 (don't remember which built) then. At some point, I got the infamous alert, see image
So, I contacted the helpdesk from Hostinger asking what change they have made as I didn't change any setting. It was working fine on a Friday, but then on the Monday after I got this.
I searched on forums but they refer to enabling ghost script etc and older Moodle versions. I hoped to upgrade to 3.10 would work, but no avail either
The helpdesk of Hostinger (service provider) wants to have access to Moodle, but they don't really know what it is. As it is an install we are using with students studying on it, then I am absolutely not confident creating an admin/manager account for them.
After going back and forth with the helpdesk anyway, there is some progress. See image
At least there is a blank page, but not the actual pdf with text. When I download it and open it, then the pdf is just fine.
The strange thing is, the older pdfs are opening but the new don't. I asked students if they have changed anything regarding converting word/google doc to pdf, but they said they didn't.
If there's anyone who can guide me in the right direction, I'll be so grateful! I'll provide the missing information as I don't know what else you might need from me.
