Emails notifications due dates not being received

Dear Moodlers,

We’ve been testing the emails notifications lately. Every module is working as expected, except at the assignments (& Turnitin) level:

  • Students have not been notified of the Due Dates.
  • Teachers have not been reminded to grade by the date set (even though it is enabled).

 Any help concerning this matter is greatly appreciated.

Just a sanity check: is Assignments set up okay in Site admin > Messaging > Notifications, so that Assignment notifications is Enabled and set to allow Email both online and offline?

The first sounds like either a time or timezone issue, provided it is not an email sending issue (or cron issue).

However the second one has nothing to do with email, since the 'Remind to grade by date' doesn't send emails: https://docs.moodle.org/310/en/Assignment_settings#Availability. So, you will want to check on how your Dashboards are set up with the Course overview block settings: https://docs.moodle.org/310/en/Course_overview.
