I created an observer role called Registrar and assigned the role at the category level because I want the registrars to be able to view everything in our category of for-credit courses, but not other categories of courses. The 2 users who are assigned the role of Registrar only have the additional role of Authenticated User--they are not Students.
When I look at the Participants list in one of the for-credit courses, the Registrars are listed in the role "registrar." I thought this was okay. But I just found out that they are also showing up in the gradebook. A professor alerted me that when he was grading an assignment, the registrars were listed as if they were students who needed an assignment graded.
1. Is it actually correct that the Registrars show up on the Participants list?
2. How do I fix the fact they they are showing up like enrolled students?
