Custom certificate plugin installed - website administrator page blank

Hi, 

I just installed the custom certificate plugin (I am using moodle 3.10.1), everything went smoothly until the end. I also received the message that the installation was successful. I clicked on the button "continue" and was supposed to get back to the website administrator page - however, this page is blank and I do not have access to all the settings. The rest of the website can be reached normally.

I already tried "...admin/settings.php?section=debugging", however that does not work either. 

Any idea what the problem could be?

I'm also experiencing the same challenge. I no longer have access to Site Administration settings after installing the Custom Certificate plugin. Rather, I see the following error message.

Exception - Class 'core_search\area\base_activity' not found

'Would be nice if someone could help with this. My institution runs Moodle version 3.10.
