We are currently working on testing integration of Moodle with MS Teams. Our moodle version is 3.9.
Wanted to know if Moodle course groups will be created automatically as separate channels in MS Teams. Did not find any documentation related to this. So was wondering if this is possible or not.

They won't be created as Channels as they are not at all the same type of thing.
If you're lucky, each group defined in a Moodle course may be created as a group email address in your Microsoft 365 domain. However, this seems to be hit and miss, as far as I can make out. Perhaps a particular course group configuration must be defined?
If the group is created, you could manually create a private Channel in your Team, and bulk add the students in the group to the channel quite efficiently just by entering the group email address.
